iPhone 5c 5s

Have you pre ordered the new iPhone 5c  today?
Or will you be in a Big line outside Appel, next week for the new iPhone 5s?

Let us know, like, comment.

I think if you have the iPhone 5, it may not be a big upgrade for you, however if you have a 4s or earlier iPhone, I think iPhone 5s is a good upgrade.

IOS 7 is due for release on iPad and iPhone on Wednesday, I think is good, a little strange at first, but after a while, you do get to appreciate the update.

A new iPhone 5s, with IOS 7, will be a big upgrade.
Apple have a good way of keeping things that so as not to make a big change, without leaving others in the past with there old apple products.

Five Most Common Reasons Alarms Develop Faults

Also it should be remembered that in a full security alarm service, there are other tests which have not been mentioned in this article and it’s always advisable to have your alarm serviced from time to time by a qualified engineer.

Absolute can do a simple service from just £29.
Call Chris on 0151 4762421 or 0800 8600316 or 07973 921680

You can guarantee that virtually every single time I am called out to repair a burglar alarm, it is one of  five faults that usually occur

Probably the biggest fault that you get on a security alarm which has been installed for over five years, or a system that has not had a service in that time, is the internal battery on the panel will be completely dead. Sometimes this has caused the 1.2 AMP on the circuit board which is in line with the trickle charger to blow. This means there is no rechargeable current going into the battery any more.

The second biggest fault I would think is that the tamper circuit on the control panel has gone open-circuit. The Tampa circuit consists of a loop of wire that runs throughout all the passive infrareds, shock sensors and magnetic contacts in the building. It is one big series loop and this will often have gone open-circuit and this will cause the internal tamper sound to have occurred on the control panel. When the customer puts in their user number to stop the sound, it does extinguish the internal sound but it usually leaves an LED lit on the panel saying tamper and the system will not work again until this circuit has been closed.

The third most likely fault is with the personal attack circuit which is once again a series loop of wiring that goes out to the siren box running through a micro switch that closes when the lid goes down on the self-acting siren box. The micro switch is sometimes faulty and with this circuit it’s like the tamper circuit but the difference being that when it goes open circuit it sets the full alarm system into activation rather than just the internal tamper sound. The repair is to replace the tamper switch in the siren box outside.

Probably the fourth most recognisable fault with a burglar alarm system caused by the fact that the external self-acting siren box is mounted on the wall outside and exposed to the weathering elements. Inside the self-acting siren box there is a printed circuit board that in the older units could be affected by damp conditions after a number of years. In the new up-to-date units they usually enclosed this printed circuit board in its own self-contained plastic box to protect it from damp.

The fifth reason that a hardwired security alarm system can stop working is quite simply because one of the various small 1.2 amp glass fuses on the main printed circuit board inside the control panel. You just need to physically check these, but it can be difficult to see if the very fine fuse wire is blown. Once again a multimeter with the continuity tester is the reliable way of checking.

These are the simple things that can go wrong on a small domestic alarm

Higher class systems don't just use a loop circuit, they have end of line resisters of two types, other systems have ID line resisters, otherwise known as biscuits.

Absolute can do a simple service from just £29.

Security tip, an alarm you may already have

Here’s an idea…

Put your car keys beside your bed at night.

If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies. This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It’s a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage. If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won’t stick around. After a few seconds all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won’t want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a car park. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

Samsung galaxy S4

Technology fans are gearing up for one of the biggest product launches so far in 2013 - Samsung's Galaxy S4 smartphone.

The unveiling will take place later in New York, with the South Korean firm hoping to set a new benchmark for its rivals.

Rumours circulating on the internet suggest the handset will have a high definition five-inch screen, a 13-megapixel camera and a powerful eight-core processor.

There is also speculation that users may be able to scroll the screen using just their eye movements.

The handset's predecessor, the Galaxy S3, was a massive success for Samsung following its release last year.

It quickly became the standard bearer for Android phones and, combined with the firm's other devices, helped the company overtake Apple as the world's biggest-selling smartphone maker.

However, the iPhone is still the most popular smartphone globally and Apple also has a slightly larger market share in the US.

The stateside launch is therefore being seen as a bold move by Samsung to try to tip that balance.

Samsung has teased the S4 with YouTube videos and, in recent days, a shadowy picture of the phone.

Greg Isbister, the CEO of mobile advertising company BlisMedia, said if the rumours are true then the new device has great potential and the "ability to disrupt the mobile market".

Burglar alarm history

A bit Of history on Burglar Alarms

On June 21, 1853 the first electro magnetic burglar alarm patent was issued to Augustus Pope. It operated off of the use of a battery and was an individual unit for each window or door. The bell, which rang from an electric current streaming through a magnet causing it to vibrate, was mounted on top of the door frame into the wall. Wires ran from a spring "key" in the door/window through a circuit breaker near the bell, allowing the current to run constantly once the door/window tripped the spring. This electronic version of an alarm system is a great improvement on the previous bell systems where clock work and other devices were used to ring a bell less efficiently.

On October 11, 1853 in the same town of Somerville, not too longer after Augustus' patent, G.F. Milliken filed a patent for the improvement on this ground breaking electro-magnetic alarm. He designed the alarm device to reside in the room where the homeowner sleeps or is unaware of potential thieves forcing entry. As well, he runs the wires from all windows and doors, not just one. Each door/window has a spring with a certain amount of creases that signify a specific number of rings on the bell, alerting the homeowner of the precise doow/window where entry has occurred. These devices and improvements have lead to strength in home security technologies which can be trusted by all.

The electric burglar alarm patent was then purchased by a shopkeeper named Edwin Holmes in 1858, and Holmes set up a company to install and operate electric burglar alarm systems in Boston.

In 1859, Holmes moved to New York, where The Holmes Burglar Alarm Company grew and expanded into other cities. One burglar alarm system comprised of a number of contacts that were placed on windows, doors, safes, and other possible points of entery or interests of theives. If a contact were disrupted, then the electric current running through the wires connected to the alarm would cause it to sound off. The company has been successful so far, and is growing at a rapidly increasing rate due to the success of Holmes' current electric alarm.

Watch what you put on face book twitter and other social networks

Home security is an increasingly important issue for many people. New threats against your home seem to emerge every day, absolute alarms have found. The latest tricks from innovative thieves and burglars include watching your social media postings to figure out when you go to work or leave for holidays. There are many reasons to install a security system in your home in the face of this growing menace. Here are 10 of the most motivating.

1. Interviews with captured burglars have revealed a shocking insight into their psychology. It turns out that just the sight of an alarm system will turn almost 80% of these criminals away. They prefer less risk in their targets. They do not even bother to test the system in most cases. The cheapest system that you buy could be much more effective than you think as long as criminals can see it.
2. You can also incorporate many alarm systems with fire alarm systems. This creates added security because your alarm will not only wake you up, it will also send a message to fire authorities instantly.

3. With a home security system in place, you do not have to worry about calling the police when an intruder is detected. You can focus on your immediate safety and that of your loved ones while the computer calls for the police.

4. A light sleeper can hear a window break or a door suddenly open, but only a security system with motion detectors can spot someone lurking outside your home while you sleep. Lights that automatically turn on when the criminal approach can deter them from even thinking about your house as a target.

5. You will sleep easier knowing that you are protected by your system. Little is worse than trying to sleep while you are worried about your own safety and that of your family. With a quality home security set-up in place, you will sleep like a rock knowing that there is nothing to worry about.

6. You might think that you are prepared enough for any thief and have no reason for a security system. If you have small kids in the house, get the security system to prevent them from ever experiencing any kind of close encounter.

7. The lights that illuminate the surroundings of your house in response to intruders will also brighten up the whole neighborhood. Just having one house with a quality system in place will make the entire neighborhood more peaceful.

8. You may be able to get discounts in home insurance if you have a security system.

9. Many systems come with remote controls. You can activate and deactivate the security protocols without even visiting your house. This allows you to keep your house safe when you are away but you can also let friends and family in without making a trip back home.

10. Some security companies will include a guarantee against theft. If someone does
