IndigoVision’s integrated IP Video surveillance solution ensures safety and security at mining operation on the Island of Guadeloupe 12 August 2011 A mine on the French island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean is operated by Sablières de Guadeloupe and uses a surface mining process to extract up to 2m tonnes of sand, gravel and other aggregates for the construction industry per year. The complex is located on two main sites, situated over 80km apart - the actual mining area on the coast and a distribution centre in the middle of the island. Surveillance cameras from both areas are remotely monitored from an office located on a third site. IndigoVision’s integrated IP Video surveillance solution is being used to ensure the safety, security and smooth operation of the remote mining complex. Commenting on the success of the project, M. A Closer Look at Apple's Planned Spaceship-like Headquarters By  Christina DesMarais ,  PCWorld     Aug 14, 2011 5:30 AM Apple watchers are getting a closer look at the company’s plans for a new spaceship-like headquarters. The city of Cupertino, Calif., has released new images of what the complex will look like. The 2.8 million-square-foot four-story circular structure will resemble a spaceship more than a building with huge walls of glass that let workers look out from both sides of the ring onto park-like landscaping. Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson are set to make their Liverpool debuts in the Barclays Premier League season opener against Sunderland. For our new boy Henderson it is a dream opening fixture against his former club. Kenny Dalglish's side will be hoping to get off to a winning start in 2011-12 after a morale boosting 2-0 win over Valencia at Anfield at the weekend. However, it promises to be a tough test against Steve Bruce's new-look Sunderland. The Black Cats have reinforced their squad during the summer on the likes of Connor Wickham, Sebastian Larsson, John O'Shea, Wes Brown and Craig Gardner. Last season at Anfield the two sides drew 2-2, but Dalglish's Reds were brilliant at the Stadium of Light with Luis Suarez netting a fantastic goal. Sunderland fought out a goalless draw with Hibs in their last pre-season outing before the big kick-off, so it's all to play for as the 2011-12 season is about to get underway.
